The Loading exhibition runs until July 21, 2024 at the Grand Palais Immersif, offering an exploration of the evolution of urban art with a focus on the influence of digital technologies on artists in this field. Over the course of the 20th century, urban walls emerged as a privileged place for artistic expression, evolving on the bangs of official institutions and becoming a space for creation, exhibition and subversion.
With the advent of the Internet and social networks, street art has undergone a major transformation, redefining artists' relationship with the city. The exhibition occupies the vast spaces of the Grand Palais Immersif, serving as a backdrop to urban works presented at 360°. From New York's subways, to the large-scale murals of the 2000s, to pictorial and drone-filmed creations, the exhibition offers an insight into the many facets of urban art.
The exhibition also explores the latest developments in graffiti vandalism, daring artistic actions and spectacular hijackings. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover urban art in all its diversity, enriched by innovative digital experiences.
